Mail to Professors
It very often happens that prospective students become confused wile drafting mail to professors for graduate studies. Before drafting a mail one should be very careful about to select the professors. Statement of Intent [ SOI ]
Another important step for applying in a university. Second most important thing in my consideration is to make ready the statement of purpose (SOP). Statement of purpose/Intent/ reasons for graduate study all are the same. Statement of purpose is nothing but to reasoning, why one is interested in that particular program for what he has intended to apply. It also serves some other purposes like, it becomes an example of one’s ability of writing and expressing oneself clearly in writing. It helps the program faculty to select candidates matching with their interests. Language Test Preparation
For prospective international graduate students, admission tests such as TOEFL and IELTS are often the most dreaded stage of the application process. On the basis of my own experience, this section explores some of the most common admission tests, and how to prepare for them.
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) and Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) are the two most popular tests available, for testing your understanding of the English language. Most universities require an IELTS or a TOEFL score for non-native English speakers and they both examine your ability to read, write, listen and speak the English language. “IELTS and TOEFL determine the level of study to which you are eligible to apply. Prospective applicants can opt for self-study through preparatory books etc, or can go in for practice classes offered by competent organizations,” says Harmeet Pental, Regional Director, South Asia, IDP Education India Pvt. Ltd.

IELTS
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test exam is taken with pencil and paper, and takes three hours and 45 minutes to complete. It is divided into four sections: Speaking, Reading, Listening, And Writing ....[ click here to read more

GRE Preparation
As many as 700,000 aspirants sit for the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) annually and almost all graduate courses and business schools accept a GRE score for admission. The test examines your analytical writing, verbal reasoning and quantitative reasoning. In August 2011, the format of the GRE was revised, in order to accommodate questions which expect you to react to ‘real-life scenarios’.
The test is four hours in length and gives no partial credit to examinees. “You have to nail the content just right,” says Lee Weiss, director of graduate programs, Kaplan Test Prep ....[ click here to read more]

Selection of Universities
Try as much universities as you can. My advice is try to convince a professor first then try for admission. While trying for managing a professor, one thing which is better to keep in your mind is, in some cases you may need to write a proposal for research. In that case, preparation in advance can be beneficial.

Preparing for Visa
Preparing for Visa is a sophisticated task and another most important one. In this section i would like to share my experience directly regarding Visa preparation. So far I am interested to pursue my Graduate degree from the a reputed Canadian university, that's why my experience shared experience will mostly be regarding Canadian Visa preparation ....[ click here to read more
